Bill's Story
I bought my last car November 2009. I have been in two accidents with young ladies texting on their cell phones. My last car was completely totaled. I walked away from it with minor injuries. If she had hit me 12 inches closer I would have died.
Both times I bought my car from Gorges. The cars fit my needs. I’ve been a Gorges Customer for 30 years. I’ve bought between 13 and 14 cars from them. Their service is what makes me loyal. They fix whatever the problem is the first time and they fix it right. They treat me well. I tell Volvo when they call me that I don’t drive Volvo, I drive Gorges.
My car is a station wagon. I have to drive a wagon because my wife, daughter and granddaughter are harpists. I’ve written articles in harp magazines about the best car to drive to transport harps and this is it. The measure of one of my cars is how easily I can get a harp in and out of it. Our harp is insured for over $38,000. I have to have a safe car.

Mike's Story
I gave my old car to my daughter and I bought a new one. We have 5 XE70s in my family. They’re great cars. They’re all from Gorges. Gorges is service-oriented. There’s no funny business with them. They’re very respectful of their clientele. You put your obstacles on the table and they take them off. Plus, the free car washes are a bonus.
A couple of years ago my daughter was stranded in Kansas City when her car wouldn’t drive. Gorges had just closed, but I called them and they answered the phone anyway. They took my daughter’s cell phone and dispatched tow trucks to take her to the nearest Volvo dealership in KC. They made sure my daughter got home safe and followed up with the dealer in KC to make sure they took care of us. Then he called me back and let me know what was going on. They went to bat for me and went above and beyond. They handled everything and made it a stressful situation easy.
They’re nice people. They’re genuine. Focused on quality and service. It’s the popcorn in their lobby that keeps me coming back, though. They know how to treat their employees. Their customers are loyal, and so are their employees.
They live in my neighborhood. When you drive through Eastborough, you see Volvos everywhere. We’re a volvo neighborhood.

Juliann and Sarah's Story
We have two Volvos. I think that Volvos are a thinking person’s car. My 2012 XC90 is classy, elegant and preppy. I named her Muffy. We sent out daughter off to college in our old Volvo, and after paying for her college education we felt we deserved a reward, so we bought another one. Like a string of pearls, Volvos are classic, sleek and lasting.
I chose Volvo because they’re safe and they’re going to last. I bought from Gorges because I knew they would take care of me. They gave me all the information I needed and always had excellent customer service. I was dealt with honestly and with integrity and respect. They are patient. I’m a very difficult customer, especially when buying a car, but now I’m their most loyal customer.
We only buy a new car about once every 10 years or so, if that. We wanted a reliable car with lasting power. That’s why I chose Volvo.
I was driving my old Volvo when I was involved in a head-on collision. I walked away from a terrible crash. I was very lucky. I thank my Volvo for that.
We gave our old Volvo to our daughter when she left for school in Colorado. She has to travel through mountains and rough terrain and we wanted her to be safe.
I felt comfortable letting her drive the Volvo. It’s like a jewelry box, protecting my most prized possession. Her safety is of the upmost importance to us.

Lindi's Story
I’m a real estate agent, and when I was in the market for a new car, I called Brad and told him what I wanted. He found it at an auction and called me to see if I wanted him to buy it for me and I said, “Yes”.
Two or three days after that I got my car. I was thrilled. The whole process took less than a month. It was so easy. I was very specific about what I wanted - A car with some miles on it, A DVD player for my kiddo, that kind of stuff- and he found it all.
We’ve bought all our cars from Gorges. I know they’re going to be honest and trustworthy.
I have to take clients in my car all the time, so I needed something reliable and presentable. Between my dog, my family and clients I get a lot of use out of my car. I have to keep it clean for clients, so I’m always cleaning it out.
It’s a multipurpose vehicle. It handles well in the snow. It easily holds my 5-year-old daughter’s car seat booster in the back. I live in my car.

Skot's Story
I drove a Toyota before my Volvo. I thought my wife and I couldn’t step up to a Volvo, but when I found out the payments would be just as much for a Volvo as they were for my old Toyota, it was a no-brainer.
Now I’ve been a Volvo fan for years. I used to work as a Volvo technician. So when I was ready to buy a new car, I bought Volvo again. We’re a Volvo family. We all love this car like a member of the family. When our lease was up, we bought the car. Couldn't think of trading it in.
I’ve known the people at Gorges for years. Dave Eichman is a personal friend. They are a longstanding company with a great reputation. My dealings with them have been nothing but perfection.
We went the day after Thanksgiving just to look. We called Gorges, told him what we wanted, and he told us to come on down. We test drove it, and bought it that day. It was simple.
Our salesman made the process as quick and painless as possible. We were there two hours tops, including the test drive. Usually buying a car is stressful and nerve wracking. It wasn’t like that at Gorges. They know what they’re doing and they’re always prepared.
